Flexible systems for the best possible finishing after printing.
A typical problem when folding digital prints or other critical materials is the cracking of the toner layer along the fold line. The cause of this phenomenon is not the folding process or the technique that is used, but the physical characteristics of toner and paper. Creasing along the fold line can considerably reduce or even avoid the cracking of the printing ink.
With the platen creasing technology of the Pit Stop models, the material is gently compressed because stretching of the paper fibres is avoided. This principle effectively prevents a cracking of the toner layer or tearing of the paper, thus ensuring optimal finishing after the print.
The simple operating concept also means short set-up times. A creasing job with change of format and up to four creasing positions can be set up in less than two minutes.
MB Bäuerle Inline systems for creasing and folding to get maximum productivity
The combination between the Pit Stop creasing and perforating machines with the folding systems from MB Bäuerle allows efficient inline processing. After creasing, the sheets are transferred to the alignment table of the folding system for subsequent finishing. The risk that delicate materials are marked or scratched is reduced and at the same time productivity is considerably increased.
Easy Fold / Easy Fold Plus / Easy 2 Fold
The systems Easy Fold, Easy Fold Plus and Easy 2 Fold can be operated inline with the Pit Stop creasing machine and work according to a patented fold system. This combination allows scoring and folding up to a paper weight of 600 GSM. Model Easy Fold Plus is also equipped with an alignment table that ensures accurate material transport.
